I stepped outside this morning to beautiful striations of fog lazily creeping along the fields — an unexpected real life metaphor for my current state of mind. When faced with challenges and decisions, the fog of uncertainty can be scary, or it can be beautiful. Regardless, in order to move forward, you have to focus on what you can see — the ground in front of you — and not on the myriad possibilities that wait on the other side. You have to focus on what you can control, placing one foot in front of the other, and adapting to the changing environment as it reveals itself.
